Virtual Conference On Private Sector Education In The UAE Organized By Nxtshow

Nxtshow is hosting the UAE’s first virtual school fair, bringing together parents, schools and key stakeholders that will answer pressing questions about what to expect from UAE schools as it relates to their children’s education. This initiative came in to address the recent challenges and perhaps even opportunities that the pandemic crisis is presenting.
This event which will take place on March 23st was organized as a result of a series of focus group discussions by parents which left the need to gain more insight and understanding of how to best adapt with the crisis and to find solutions to the challenges which are a result of the new online tutoring system adopted in the UAE. The focus groups have revealed considerable uncertainty around this situation and parents are left feeling the weight of the additional responsibility of ensuring high quality education for their children while wanting to feel schools are committed to providing high quality, value and care for their children.
The event will gather educational institutions and give them access to a unique platform and opportunity to shed light on the newly introduced teaching processes, the topics addressed in Nxtshow’s school fair will include some of the following:
- The Psychological impact of remote learning on the wellbeing of everyone involved (families, children...etc.)
- All that parents need to know about the different remote educational systems and teaching methods ;(IGCSE program - all you need to know, IB program, what are the changes in SAT 2021, Extracurricular resources)
- How to conduct virtual and remote learning in a much better way and live discussions with experts.
- The harmful impact of the increase in screen time as an inevitable consequences to increased time spent on devices and what can be done about it.
- school communications with parents (how can it be more effective)
- Other issues that parents or schools would like to address
Finally, international education expert speakers will participate to provide insight on emotional health, information technology, British and American curricula and other pertinent subjects.
The event will open channels for cooperation and communication between parents and schools in virtual space. It will also provide an opportunity to involve education officials with regards to challenges and solutions.
