UAE Minister Of Climate Change And Environment Meets Russian President At Eastern Economic Forum
Indian Prime Minister also attends meeting held on forum sidelines
His Excellency Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, met with Vladimir Putin, Russian President, on the sidelines of the fifth annual Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), currently underway in the Russian city of Vladivostok. The three-day forum concludes on September 6.
Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, and Dmitry Kobylkin, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation also attended the meeting. Dr Al Zeyoudi conveyed the warm regards and good will of the UAE leadership to the government and people of Russia.
His Excellency highlighted the importance and depth of the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries in various fields and the keenness of the UAE to further strengthen and advance synergies with Russia.
For his part, the Russian President praised the UAE's prominent role and constructive efforts on all issues that concern the international community, especially those related to preserving the environment, ensuring the sustainability of the earth's natural resources, and implementing climate action goals on a war footing.
