This is Android!
One of the biggest mobile platforms is Android. You can download videos, pictures, news, and even games on this operating system. The big online companies use Android to get through their client. Kitty Bingo site for instance is an online gaming site that you can access on any device of your choice including Android. Google is the main sponsor of Android and it was acquired in 2005. Android is a Linux kernel-based system, it comes with a high-quality component used to run apps.
Let’s look at the history of Android OS. In 2003, Android was founded in California by Nick Sears, Chris White, Rich Miner and Andy Rubin. Rubin said in one of his interviews: “smarter mobile devices that are more aware of its owner’s location and preferences.”
For Rubin, Android is used to improve the operating systems of a digital camera. In 2005, Android began to prevail when it was acquired by Google. We all know the green Android Logo… Well... It looks like a green bug and robot. This logo was designed by Irina Blok in 2007 and this became an international symbol. Irina Block made it simple and iconic when it comes to the Android logo.
In today’s world, Android is used in many touch inputs such as phone, tablets, or smartwatches. It also comes with a home screen that has a primary navigation and information "hub". You can check your emails, get live updates or news. Yet, Android tends to develop something unique from its competitors.
When it comes to the status bar, the device comes with nice connectivity such as Bluetooth, Wifi or Mobile Hotspot. You can pull down the notification bar where you will find all your unread messages, emails, or updates.
Android comes with tons of applications and most of them are preinstalled. Some of the most used ones are:
- Google Chrome
- YouTube
- Google Play Music
- Gmail
Android comes with a wide selection of the 3rd party applications. This is acquired by users when installing or downloading. Google play store is one of the most useful apps in Android. This allows you to download or update applications that you will use on your phone. It comes with over 50 billion applications whereby most of them are games, social media, or tools of communication.
When it comes to memory, Android is at its best. When an app is not used for a large amount of time, it cancels its operations to save battery, thus, they would rather close it. Android manages its memory automatically.
The latest launch is Android 11 which was on September 8, 2020. It comes with a panoply of features and most importantly the new one that lets you record your phone screen including audio. You won’t have to download an app for that. Another interesting feature that Android has launched is Conversations notification. All your chats head to one place and you can also save the notifications that have popped up in the past 24 hours.
