- Hospitality: The Burj Al Arab, the seventh-tallest hotel in the world, has won the World Travel Awards' Middle East's Leading All Suite Hotel award every year between 2015 and 2019.
- Travel: The Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital has collected the World Travel Awards' Middle East's Responsible Tourism Award every year between 2015 and 2019. It is the world's biggest hospital for falcons, the UAE's national bird.
- Business: Of the 25 awards given in the business category to the UAE, 23 were bestowed upon Dubai-based conference destinations, club lounges, and convention centres between 2015 and 2019.
- Entertainment: Warner Bros. World in Abu Dhabi opened in July 2018 and went on to win the 2019 title of the Middle East's Leading Tourist Attraction (World Travel Awards).
Methodology
Our seed list consists of 2,891 awards given by 20 award bodies between 2015 and 2019 across multiple categories. For our analysis, we accumulated the number of awards per country and per city to reveal the destinations in receipt of the most awards overall and in each category.
