The winning companies, engineers and workers will be announced and awarded during a big ceremony to be held 17 December at The Meydan Hotel, in the presence of the His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed and dignitaries.

Organised annually, the Award is the world’s first-of-a-kind points-based reward system to recognise excellence in labour welfare practices and promote international best practices in this field.

Construction companies, factories and Dubai Free Zones companies are included in the third edition, thereby bringing the number of workers targeted by the Award to about one million. The points system evaluates companies based on basic criteria, such as labour policies and work environment, including factors such as communication, creativity and innovation, regulations and provisions, as well as results based on business perceptions and performance indicators.

About 100 highly qualified and experienced assessors from different economic and professional sectors participated in the smart evaluation processes of companies’ applications.

He pointed out that the Award enhances the standards of excellence in the relationship between the two sides of the productive equation -  companies and workers-  in line with Dubai Government’s vision to become the best place in the world to live, work and invest.
