Solar In Jordan And Egypt: Yellow Door Energy Shares Insights On Webinar

The webinar was organized by ATA Insights and attended by over 200 solar enthusiasts from around the world

Yellow Door Energy, a market-leading solar developer in the Middle East, this week shared its market outlook for solar photovoltaics (PV) in Egypt and Jordan. The webinar was organized by ATA Insights and attended by over 200 solar enthusiasts from around the world. The featured speakers on the webinar include:

Rory McCarthy, Chief Commercial Officer, Yellow Door Energy

Yousef Al Zuhair, Director – Business Development, ACWA Power

Ahmad Masoud, Supervisor – Business Development, ACWA Power

Mohammed Attari, Manager – Business Development, ACWA Power

Rob McNabb, Partner, Eversheds Sutherland

Belén Gallego, CEO, ATA Insights

In his presentation, Rory McCarthy highlighted Yellow Door Energy’s offerings for commercial and industrial customers in the Middle East, namely solar leases, power purchase agreements (PPAs) and build-operate-own-transfer (BOOT) projects. These contracts enable customers to save money in the solar plant’s first month of operation, control energy costs in the present and future, as well as reduce carbon emissions and enhance their sustainability reputation.

McCarthy also expressed Yellow Door Energy’s positive outlook for solar PV in both Egypt and Jordan. Both countries have high levels of global horizontal irradiance, high electricity prices for the commercial and industrial sectors, supportive government legislation and ambitious renewable energy targets.

Overall, the webinar was a success with engaging content and active participation from the attendees. Thank you to ATA Insights for the invitation and to co-presenters from ACWA Power and Eversheds Sutherland their comprehensive market outlooks. We hope the attendees enjoyed the webinar and look forward to seeing more commercial and industrial businesses embrace solar in the MENA region and beyond.
