'School Of Life Initiative' Attracts 7,000 Participants
The National Programme for Happiness and Quality of Life launched the "School of Life Initiative," an interactive social platform for learning key life skills, promoting the "Emirati System of Quality of Life," and transforming it into a culture and daily lifestyle.
Some 7,000 people participated in the initiative over three sessions and learnt about parental leadership, the roles of mothers and fathers in bringing up children, and the skills required for living a good life.
The first session, presented by Dr. Amal Al Otaibi, Member of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training in Kuwait, titled, "The Art of Parental Leadership: Secrets of Bringing Up Children," was attended by 2,000 participants in Abu Dhabi.
The second session, titled, "Are You Ready?," held at the Higher Colleges of Technology-Dubai Men’s College, was also presented by Dr. Al Otaibi, with the participation of 1,500 people while the third session discussed contentment and inner peace, co-presented by Dr. Ahmed Emara, Accredited Family Guidance Consultant.
Ohoud bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Happiness and Wellbeing and Director- General of the Prime Minister’s Office, stated that good life skills are the key to improving the quality of life of the community, and the initiative aims to teach just that and create positive individuals in a cohesive community.
