Rabdan Academy Participates In Ministry Of Defense Conference: "Winning The Digital War"

Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, and as part of the agenda of the Ministry of Defense’s annual conference " Leadership Conference: War in the 21st Century,” held this year under the slogan "Winning Digital Warfare," Rabdan Academy participates in a specialized workshop at the Armed Forces Officers Club in Abu Dhabi. 

The workshop was organized by Rabdan Academy and led and supervised by a group of experts specialized in the fields of security, defense, safety, emergency preparedness and crisis management. The workshop revolved around the impact of cyberspace on national defense institutions, as well as how to foresee digital threats. Moreover, the workshop dealt with preemptive solutions and how to address these threats before a crisis occurs. 

The workshop presented up-to-date information on aspects relevant to digital warfare and its relevant developments in order to prepare qualified national cadres to address all types of digital threats according to the highest global levels of professionalism.

Underlining the significance of the conference, Rabdan Academy Vice President Dr. Faisal al-Ayyan said:  “We would like to thank the Ministry of Defense for holding and organizing this important annual conference. The academy took part in the conference in order to demonstrate its knowledge, academic and training expertise in digital warfare and to show how planning and execution processes take place. The conference constituted a very important occasion for the participants since it included specialized workshops that took place in an atmosphere suitable for exchanging knowledge and expertise and staying up-to-date when it comes to science and studies in the field of digital warfare.”

Al Ayyan added:  “The Academy constantly develops education and training methodologies in collaboration with its partners according to the highest international standards to keep abreast with the rapidly evolving changes in digital conflicts. We also equip our national cadres with the ability to predict emerging threats that could face security environment, stand ready for emergencies, and remain on high alert to manage crises.”

The conference hosted hundreds of senior national, regional, international officials, as well as experts, specialists, leaders, civilian scientists, and military personnel.
