Press release on the occasion of the 48th UAE National Day
On behalf of the Emirates Diplomatic Academy (EDA), it is my honour to congratulate the wise leadership of the UAE and its people on the astounding occasion of the 48th National Day.
Since its inception, the UAE has established itself as a leading nation and an exceptional destination that attracts millions of people from around the world. The country’s residents that have made the UAE their home, represent all races, cultures and religions, and are living and working together in a cohesive and tolerant society.
Today’s celebration is a reflection of the UAE’s unity and oneness, and we thank the wise leaders of this great nation for shaping a country, where we can all live side by side in harmony.
The founding father of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, once said: “Educating people is a great wealth that we cherish, as education is a wealth from which we build the future on a scientific basis.”
The late Sheikh Zayed’s inspirational and timeless words have helped drive the success of the Academy, its leading members and aspiring diplomats.
Educating the UAE’s future diplomats is a matter of national pride for us at EDA. We bring together the best of academia, research and practice, to support the objectives of the nation’s foreign policy, while nurturing the next generation of diplomats, who will one day proudly carry on the UAE’s success story.
We are honoured to witness the success of our diplomatic graduates, who will represent their country on the international arena and build bridges between nations, all while delivering the UAE’s message of tolerance, peace and harmony to the rest of the world.
