More than 8,500 engineers have benefited from the partnership between Grundfos Saudi Arabia and Saudi Council of Engineers

The Danish company Grundfos is one of the largest manufacturers of advanced water pumps and a pioneer in water solutions technology in the world. It supports global sustainability by providing traditional and smart energy-saving pumping solutions, in addition to renewable energy-powered pumps that suit various purposes and meet the requirements of various sectors including commercial buildings, factories, clean water and sanitation facilities.

From March 2018 to September 2020, Grundfos organized many training courses that benefited 2,512 engineers in Saudi Arabia, while more than 6,000 engineers benefited from the courses since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The training courses offered to engineers include 15 different fields with more than 70 majors and sub-topics, varying between pumping operations, electricity, and other technical topics. The courses contribute to providing new graduates with a full set of basic skills and knowledge about pumps and sustainable solutions.

The Ambassador of Denmark H.E. Mr. Ole E. Moesby hosted a dinner at the Royal Danish Embassy to celebrate the successful partnership between Grundfos and SCE with the presence of Eng. Farhan Alshammari, Secretary General of SCE, and Mr. Abdulaziz Daghestani, General Manager of Grundfos, as well as representatives from SCE, Grundfos and the Royal Danish Embassy.

In his speech, H.E. Ole E. Moesby highlighted the partnership between Grundfos and SCE as a great example of how Denmark and Saudi Arabia can exchange knowledge and share the know-how and expertise that help to solve water challenges in Saudi Arabia.

On this occasion, Eng. Abdulaziz Daghestani, General Manager of Grundfos Saudi Arabia, also expressed his satisfaction with the prestigious level of the training programs offered to Saudi engineers, extending his thanks and appreciation to the Saudi Council of Engineers for giving the company the opportunity to contribute to the development and preparation of Saudi engineering competencies. Pointing out that the joint training program succeeded in covering seven major cities in Saudi Arabia with training courses, as it comes within the framework of the company's responsibility towards the local community.

Grundfos has established partnerships with a number of major companies in Saudi Arabia, and plans to offer more training programs and social responsibility events with multiple companies such as: SABIC Home of Innovation, Tarsheed, and the Saudi Council of Engineers. Grundfos also intends to establish a cooperation with the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training to develop a similar training program for Saudi technicians to help improve their professional skills and provide them with valuable knowledge.
