Mohammed bin Rashid honours Canadian Team which won Government Experience Innovation Award
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, asserted that strengthening the international development journey and accelerating its pace to cross to the future with steady steps requires the participation of the world’s governments in instilling the culture of innovation and cooperation to face the challenges and guarantee a better future for all humanity.
This took place while His Highness honoured the team of Public Health Agency of Canada which won the Edge of Government Award for the Carrot Rewards experience, an initiative which encourages the community to practise sports, and that is during the award ceremony of the 7th World Government Summit. Carrot Rewards of Canada is an AI-driven wellness app and brand engagement platform that leverages behavioural economics and nudge theory to motivate and reward users for making better lifestyle choices. The Edge of Government Award recognises government innovations from around the world according to specific evaluation criteria: novelty, replicability, and impact.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum added that people’s striving for a better life pushes them towards creative and innovative thinking, pointing that the governments which innovate today create the future for their peoples and the world, through preempting the challenges and facing them with new solutions and ideas which contribute to developing the government work and building civilisations whose pillar is the people, the foundation of international development.
Sheikh Mohammed indicated that strengthening the governments’ work with creative innovations would contribute to meeting the human ambitions and aspirations and elevating the international wellbeing, which is the role which governments must focus on in the coming stage to keep up with the changes and cross to the future, which is the course adopted by the UAE through establishing the culture of innovation and the future’s skills in all government work fields.
His Highness congratulated the team of Public Health Agency of Canada which won the award, which worked hard to offer the best innovations, calling on innovators to continue their efforts, benefit from the challenges, transform them into opportunities and positively participate in creating a brighter future for the goodness of humanity, which is the goal sought after by the World Government Summit, which became an international laboratory and source of inspiration to all governments of the world.
