Majors Discipline Exhibition Wraps Up Sixth Edition, Attracting Over 4,500 Attendees
The sixth edition of the Majors Discipline Exhibition, organised by Sharjah Public Libraries, concluded with remarkable success, drawing an impressive crowd of over 4,530 enthusiastic students, parents, and academics between September 23 to 26 under the theme ‘Sustainable Skills: Your Key to Success in an Ever-Changing World.’
Throughout the four-day event at the Sharjah Book Authority headquarters, the exhibition enabled students to connect with 20 of the country’s leading universities, arming them with essential skills for a successful career journey after graduation and shining light on academic paths that align with their skills and ambitions. The event successfully equipped students with the tools to make informed decisions, empowering them to navigate their future careers confidently.
Upskilling and inspiring success stories
The exhibition's final day included a powerful programme to inspire and equip students with essential life and career skills. The ‘Personal and Professional Skills’’ session provided the visually impaired participants with practical tools to thrive in the workforce. Attendees were also moved by the ‘Success of People with Disabilities’ panel discussion, which showcased uplifting stories of personal achievements in academic fields.
Meanwhile, the ‘Cognitive Skills’ workshop sharpened students' abilities, helping them excel academically and professionally. To further boost students’ confidence, the ‘Effective Public Speaking’ session equipped participants with techniques for speaking with impact, structuring their ideas, and engaging audiences effectively.
