KLSC To Keynote Hospital Infrastructure Conference

Kuwait Life Sciences Company is proud to announce that it will present a keynote at the upcoming Hospital Infrastructure 2020 Conference in Kuwait.

Hospital Infra 2020 is a focused event bringing together senior industry buyers including key budget holders, policymakers and investors who represent the real power behind the development of world-class healthcare facilities in the GCC. The event is part of the Kuwait Building Show - the largest building and construction in Kuwait on 4-7 March 2020, Halls 5-6, Kuwait International Fair, Kuwait.

Healthcare projects worth $55.2 billion are in the pipeline for the Middle East and North African regions. A total of 37 mega-hospital projects worth $28.2 billion are already underway in the Gulf region, with these expected to add 22,500 hospital beds to existing capacity.

The Hospital Build & Design Conference is a regional platform for C-levels and government ministers to investors and healthcare planners to come together and discuss all aspects of hospital build, design, equipment and technology to accelerate the process of successful transition to affordable smart hospitals, create more automated and patient-centric healthcare facilities and develop methodology in improving service delivery.

Topics include but not limited to:

  • GCC Healthcare System, Vision and Future Projects
  • Planning a Hospital: Architecture & Design
  • Operating Rooms and Hybrid ORs
  • Technology in hospitals and healthcare facilities
  • Hospital Operational/Management Practices
  • Implementing public-private partnerships (PPPs)
  • Refurbishing & Equipping

Dr. Mussaad M. Al-Razouki, Chief Business Development Officer, Kuwait Life Sciences Company, will be speaking on the topic of "Building the Hybrid Hospital of the Future" from 11:30am - 12:00pm on Wednesday the 4th of March.

As global spending on healthcare soars past the seven trillion-dollar mark, new types of medical technologies are required, specifically to increase the overall quality of medical services and to combat rampant medical inflation.

MENA governments are spending billions of dinars, riyals and dirhams on upgrading their traditional healthcare infrastructure. Newspapers are filled with stories on newer, bigger and flashier hospital projects. These cathedrals of care are an important part of the healthcare system, but as the world moves away from antiquated models of care, MENA governments need to also be aware of the latest advancements in medical technologies with a focus on building the Hybrid Hospitals of the future.

KLSC recently provided the keynote at the Arab Health 2020 Investment Forum, in January. This forum is the arena to stimulate more investment, more change and learning in the healthcare system in the GCC and the MENA region. Dr. Mussaad Al-Razouki will be provided a keynote speech on "GCC Healthcare Investment Opportunities" on the first day of the conference as well as moderating a panel discussion on "Healthcare Investment Strategy"

Dr. Razouki was also an expert judge on the "Innovation Panel" at the Innov8 Startup Pitch Competition.
