Global Coffee Leaders Gather To Shape A Sustainable Future At World Of Coffee Dubai 2025
Green Coffee Connect, a highlight of WOC Dubai - the Middle East’s largest coffee trade show organised by DXB Live, will gather over 40 industry leaders and speakers from seven regions, providing an invaluable platform for participants to explore the green bean ecosystem and exchange insights.
Last year, the global green coffee market reached a value of US $36.9 billion. According to IMARC Group, the market is projected to grow to US $51.4 billion by 2032, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.77% between 2024 and 2032. This growth is largely fueled by increasing coffee consumption, the rapid expansion of e-commerce and the rising demand for specialty coffee as consumers continue to favor premium, sustainable and distinctive coffee products.
Sustainability and ethical sourcing have become central focuses in the coffee industry, driven by environmental challenges, regulatory changes, and evolving consumer demand. These critical issues will be among the major themes at World of Coffee Dubai 2025.
Consumers are increasingly seeking ethical products that align with social and ecological values. In response, coffee brands are adopting sustainable practices to meet this demand. Certifications like Fair Trade and Rainforest Alliance are now key factors influencing purchasing decisions, especially among European importers, who are setting higher environmental and social standards.
In addition, an announcement this month that European Union's new deforestation regulations, will come in next year, requiring coffee producers to verify that their products are sourced from non-deforested lands, further pushes sustainability to the forefront of the global coffee market.
“Green Coffee Connect is at the forefront of shaping the future of green coffee,” said Shouq Bin Redha, Exhibition Director, World of Coffee Dubai. “As the industry rapidly evolves, this event is crucial in driving sustainable innovation, forging key connections, and expanding the global conversation around green coffee. It's not just about keeping pace with change—it's about leading it.”
Abdullatif Abdulfattah, Marketing Manager of Saudi-based specialty coffee roasters Sulalat, emphasized, “Coffee is one of the most globally traded commodities, and its environmental and social impact is significant. Events like Green Coffee Connect at World of Coffee Dubai provide an essential platform for the industry to come together, share knowledge, and collaborate on addressing critical sustainability challenges, while also promoting initiatives, and sharing the quality of life for communities involved in specialty coffee production.”
