Energetus Participates in Oman Energy & Water Expo

The event was well- attended and all exhibitors expressed satisfaction with the location and facilities on hand

The Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre recently played host to the 5th Oman Energy and Water Conference and Exhibition, organized by Omanexpo and Diam-the Public Authority for Energy and Water. Almost 100 companies from all over the world displayed their products and services from 22 to 24 April. The event was well- attended and all exhibitors expressed satisfaction with the location and facilities on hand.

Oman’s exhibitors included Energetus LLC, a company established more than 60 years ago in Portugal and has been operating in Oman since August 2017. The company is certified by DCRP as a solar installer and has just completed its first commercial PV plant, a 457 kWp, roof-mounted system. The company is also actively bidding for other commercial, industrial and large-scale projects for which a photovoltaic installation is a cost-effective investment.

Participating in this landmark show for the first time, Energetus was delighted to be able to bring its expertise to the attention of the general public as well as to other companies involved in renewable energy. The industry is still relatively young with a large potential for growth in Oman. The country is blessed with a high average daily sunshine factor which means that a well-designed and installed PV system can contribute with sizeable savings, lower grid loads and the consequent savings on power bills as well as reducing carbon emissions.

As an EPC company, Energetus is able to provide its customers, both private and government owned with complete turn-key (from the planning, design and engineering processes through to commissioning) power plants with renewable primary sources such as solar, wind, hydro or biomass, or even conventional power plants, co-generation or combined-cycle running on gas or diesel.

Ashraf Altobi, project engineer for Energetus, says “Our in-house engineering and project design capabilities enable us to build plants from ½ megawatts up to 20 megawatts. Our experienced service team is available 24/7, in cooperation with our customers’ team to provide knowledge and services as needed. Energetus LLC can be contacted on oman@energetus.com.”

“We will definitely participate in this show next year,” he adds.
