Empower Official Sponsor Of UAE National Team At The Dubai International Basketball Championship
In line with its strategy to support the sports sector
Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the world’s largest district cooling services provider, has become the Official Team sponsor of the United Arab Emirates National Basketball team. The announcement comes as the team enters to the final preparations for the 31st Dubai International Basketball Championship, being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the National Olympic Committee. The tournament is organised by the UAE Basketball Association and Dubai Sports Council at the Maktoum bin Mohammed Hall of the Shabab Al-Ahli Club.
Running from January 23 until the 1st of February, Dubai International Basketball Championship is considered to be one of the oldest and most competitive tournaments for basketball clubs, with an elite selection of 11 Arab and Asian teams from 7 countries, including the UAE National Basketball Team.
This sponsorship falls under Empower’s strategy to support the sports sector in the UAE, as part of the company's social and national responsibilities.
