Dubai Tourism Industry Gears Up For Expo 2020 At Dubai Travel And Tourism MeetUp
With the world coming together in Dubai for Expo 2020, the tourism industry is expected to receive 11 million foreign guests in the United Arab Emirates. As the sector prepares for one of the world’s biggest events, Gulf Events is set to hold the Dubai Travel and Tourism MeetUp at the Armada BlueBay Hotel in Jumeirah Lakes Towers on August 25, 2019.
200 registered participants from over 90 companies can expect to learn more about how to prepare for Expo 2020, leverage their potential, and boost their businesses as they ride the wave of Expo 2020. Top industry practitioners will be sharing their knowledge in engaging panel discussions, and with representatives from Dubai SME as guests, a fruitful networking session is also in store.
Gulf Events project manager Mohannad Azrak, a veteran of the events and hospitality industry, emphasizes the importance of conferences such as Dubai Travel and Tourism MeetUp. “The tourism industry has grown into a different creature from what it was 15 years ago because of a lot of factors, such as technology which affects consumer behavior. Now we have a different breed of tourists and travelers, and especially in a city like Dubai, tourism companies must be able to transform their businesses to cater to them. We are here to open the floor for experts to share their knowledge, and for people within the industry to get to know each other and build partnerships,” Azrak says.
