Dubai-Based Accountant Wins Global Role With ACCA
Nauman Asif Mian elected to serve on governing Council
A Dubai-based accountant has won election to the global governing council of one of the world’s leading professional bodies.
Nauman Asif Mian was chosen by fellow members all around the world to serve on the Council of ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).
He will represent 227,000 members and 544,000 future members based in 176 countries, promoting ACCA as a force for public good, and promoting sustainable economic growth as well as the values of integrity and strong ethical behaviour.
Mr Mian, has been living in Dubai for over a decade and has established himself as a leading figure in the UAE’s tech sector, currently working as chief financial officer at the Middle East #1 jobs websiteBayt.com.Mr has been an ACCA members since 2005 with close to 20 years of experience while working for PwC and LA Fitness in the UK. Mr Mian has been nominated for multiple awards, such as the “Young Accountant of the Year”, and “Chartered Accountant of the Year” at the Finance & Accountancy Middle East Awards.
