The American Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain (AmCham) will host a webinar on “How to Do Business with the U.S. Navy” on Tuesday, 10 November 2020 from 15:00 to 17:30. “Having the U.S. Navy Fifth Fleet and its 8500 personnel based in Bahrain,” explains Qays Zu’bi, President of AmCham Bahrain. “provides a great opportunity for local businesses to register as a prime contractor or subcontractor to deliver the many goods and services required by the U.S. Navy. The U.S. Navy contributes over $1.2 billion dollars to the Bahrain economy annually – much of this through contracts with small local businesses.”
In this webinar Mr. Bauer, the Director of Contracts for the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Bahrain will present an overview of the procedures followed by the U.S. Government to obtain products and services in Bahrain and throughout the region.
Small and large businesses, regardless of previous experience working for the U.S. Government, are invited to participate. If you have an interest in selling your products and services to the U.S. Navy in Bahrain or the Gulf region this webinar will offer valuable guidance and procedural information.
“The U.S. Government seeks to source its products and services from the most qualified and competitive sources. Increasing the number of companies eligible to bid on tenders is good for the U.S. government and the private sector. Explained Qays Zu’bi, AmCham President. “This webinar is part of AmCham’s mission to inform its members and the local business community and increase awareness about opportunities to do business with the U.S. government. We hold events on this and similar topics about once a year and find there is always great interest. We appreciate the Naval Supply Systems Command taking the time to provide this very useful information to the business community.”
