UAE’s Only Corporate Wellness Hub Launched
MEED has launched the UAE’s only corporate wellness hub which is aimed at helping organisations in the Emirates promote employee welfare in the workplace.
The online portal, www.corporatehealthandwellness.meed.com, features case studies of successful employee health and wellness initiatives of past winners of the annual Daman Corporate Health Awards.
In putting the spotlight on these wellness programmes, MEED and Daman hope to promote a still developing corporate health sector. “It is a nascent industry that could have a massive impact on talent retention and recruitment, productivity and ultimately corporate competitiveness in the UAE,” said Richard Thompson, Editorial Director, MEED.
Corporate culture, more so than ever before, is a key influencer in attracting and retaining talent, and employee health and wellbeing initiatives play an important role in defining culture within an organisation. Previous Daman Corporate Health and Wellness award winners have provided plenty of evidence that such programmes boost employees’ social connections and their ability to work as a team, and also result in increased productivity by igniting friendly interdepartmental competitiveness.
Benefits such as gym membership, fresh fruit bowls in the pantry and mindfulness training have all been successfully deployed by the UAE’s leading employers and winners of the Daman Corporate Health and Wellness Awards.
This year, MEED is again calling on organisations that prioritise employee health and wellness to submit entries for the 2019 edition of the Daman Corporate Health Awards, which will honour winners in 14 different categories, including awards for Total Strategy, Newcomer, Innovation, Leadership and Culture, Community Impact, Best Workplace, Physical Health, Work-Life Balance, Social Well-being in the Workplace, Benefits Strategy, Daman Corporate Health and Wellness Award Champion, Daman Corporate Health and Wellness Award Visionary, and Daman Corporate Health and Wellness Award.
