The Annual Radiology Meeting Returns For Its 6th Edition Next Week
The 6th edition of Annual Radiology Meeting – (ARM) returns to Dubai from 10th – 12th of October 2021, and will be held at the Dubai World Trade Center. This year, ARM, which is held as a physical event with a virtual component, will discuss key topics and the most recent innovations in the field of Radiology.
The 3-day pivotal annual radiology gathering will attract over 2,000 visitors and participants, and will bring together some of the most prominent radiologists, radiographers and industry professionals from across the UAE and abroad, who will explore key advances in radiology through 70 scientific sessions.
Dr. Usama Al Bastaki, ARM conference chairman said: “The 6th edition of the Annual Radiology Meeting in the UAE will be held at the Dubai World Trade Center, with the participation of some of the most notable pioneers of radiology in the world, including professors from Harvard University, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, and Lund University in Sweden. Additionally, ARM will witness the participation of a selection of lecturers and professors from Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Egypt, and a large number of distinguished radiology experts and professors from United Arab Emirates University and various hospitals in the UAE. Furthermore, the conference program will be full of discussions through which the Radiology Society of the Emirates hopes to facilitate the continuous development of the practice of radiology both locally and regionally.”
He added: “The event will include a parallel conference dedicated to radiology technicians under the supervision of the Radiographers Society of the Emirates, and a competition entitled “the Emirates Radiology Cup” where radiology residents will present their best case research for a chance to be awarded the Emirates Radiology Cup. Furthermore, an exhibition will also be held on the sidelines of the conference at which prominent companies will showcase their latest technologies, which will be available in the UAE market.”
From her side, Samar Al Farra, Senior fellowship of Advance HE, Chairperson of the Scientific Board of the Radiographers Society of the Emirates (RASE), Manager of Higher Colleges of Technology Assessment Unit, Dubai, UAE said: “The Annual Radiology Meeting has been a widely anticipated event that provides a platform for the exchange of knowledge and expertise, and networking with field professionals. This year, the agenda for ARM is richer and more inclusive than ever before, with various sessions, activities, and poster presentation competitions that create a rich experience for everyone involved.”
She added: “This edition of ARM will include various scientific sessions discussing key topics in the field. Additionally, we will witness a noticeable participation from students this year, where they will get the opportunity to actively learn and interact with field professionals.”

This year, and thanks to the event’s virtual component, participants from any part of the world can participate and attend the rich sessions, regardless of any restrictions on traveling in their countries. This year’s agenda discusses key topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Neuroradiology, Pediatric Imaging, MSK, COVID-19, CT, Contrast Media, Teleradiology, among many others, and brings together 48 expert speakers. Moreover, radiography sessions and a virtual ultrasound seminar (for the radiographers) will be held, allowing professionals to exchange knowledge.
Running parallel to the conference, a rich exhibition will feature the latest technologies showcased by leading brands in the field.
