The 30% Club MENA And US-Based The Boardlist Combine Efforts To Support
The 30% Club MENA and the US-based organization, theBoardlist, have signed a one-year exclusive agreement to support a much more collaborative and sustainable efforts to help connect boards with women candidates across the Middle East and North Africa region.
“A first of its kind, this collaboration between the two global organizations aims to help connect a strong yet fragmented ecosystem designed to support women in accessing board opportunities and senior leadership roles,” said Laudy Lahdo, member of the Steering Committee of the 30% Club MENA. Adding that “our core mission at the 30% Club MENA is to achieve a minimum of 30% representation of women on boards of publicly listed companies, and to support and promote an enabling ecosystem that is both sustainable and impactful.”
The Boardlist is an online platform that connects exceptional women with global board opportunities. Founded in 2015 in the US, theBoardlist now has over 14,000 users, and more than 1500 companies have searched the platform to find their next board director. We are a thought leader on the subject of board diversity as well as a source of information and education for aspiring board directors.

Established in 2010, the 30% Club is a global voluntary based effort that seeks to build a strong network of companies and executives to support an inclusive work environment and culture supporting increased representation of women across senior positions and on boards.
This partnership is an extension of the work that the 30% Club MENA is doing across the region in support of increased women representation both at the board level and in C-level positions within the corporate sector. Launched back in 2015, the 30% Club MENA has more than 120 member firms, and has partnered with likeminded individuals and firms to support key ecosystem focus areas Including mentoring, training, education, strategy, gender toolkits, recruitment, and research.
Most recently, the Club launched the mentoring program, aimed and linking women who are ready to serve on boards with mentors who have extensive board experience, to support knowledge sharing, and avail networking opportunities for women in a space where it is usually reserved for men.
