Street & Mix Media Artist, Leyla Ghobadi, Exhibits At Moe’s On The 5th
Fresh from her sell-out show at this year’s Comicon Middle East, Leyla Ghobadi a street and mixed media artist, born and raised in Montreal, will bring her unique street art exhibition to Moe’s on the 5th from Friday 20th April – Friday 4th May.
Having previously exhibited in Miami, London and Ibiza, her work has been showcased at various events and hotels, such as Four Seasons, Groove on the Grass and the Graffik Gallery, where her artwork was displayed alongside the best street artists in the world, including Banksy.
Growing up, she turned anything she could get her hands on into a piece of art. Her note books were filled with anime and cartoon drawings. Today, She uses a myriad of techniques that are combined to reveal influential figures from her childhood.
Also known for her skills as a DJ, Leyla’s love for music and art took her all the world from Tulum to Ibiza, where she had lived an art residency in 2015 At Blue Marlin Ibiza. This experience inspired her to pursue her art in Montreal by showcasing at Gallery 203, Montreal Uncovered, Mural Festival and events such as Comicon Ottawa, Quebec and Montreal.
Her first edition of Art Basel was placed at Cipriani Brickel where she did collaborations with the Gia Sai Group; making three paintings for famous DJ’s such as the Martinez Brothers, Apollonia & Hector. She also sold two pieces to Sismai Romain, CEO of Epi Coutu, who was later voted best interior design firm of luxurious homes in Miami 2017.
Over the years, she has created pieces of many genres and has traveled all over the world showcasing her intricate pieces and producing street art.
