“We are thrilled to launch this collection at a time that is synonymous with the giving of gifts, the giving of support and the recognition of the mother’s role in the family. All are an expression of love” Said Junaid Nour CEO of D’NOUR DUBAI, adding“it’s the fulfilment of a deeply held belief that business should give back to society and that buyers of luxury can do good simply through their purchase, and without compromising their style.”
Evolvin’ Women Founder Assia Riccio said of the initiative,“This is an exciting time for our development and the proof that our cause resonates with the best kind of partners across diverse industries, after all, female advancement brings fresh new thinking and results wherever it’s implemented. I love that one’s inner beauty can be seen on the outside and shared with those you love.”
The Inspiration
D’NOUR is born out of an inspiration to express gratitude to women through its jewellery whilst at the same time giving back to the community & society at large. Everything the brand does and sells is’Inspired by her’,the brand’s tag line.
In 2020 Junaid, who also co-owns and manages Twinstar Jewellery, aimed to launch D’NOUR and was searching for a way to launch with this distinctive positioning. With nearly all businesses turned upside down due to the pandemic and listening to many stories of personal and professional hardship, the time had come to act on his belief of giving back to society through D’NOUR, a business model approach more appropriate for a world in need of greater recognition that we are all connected and reliant upon one another.
All the while Junaid was being supported by the women in his life. Upon recognising this simple fact, he noted that he had always benefitted from women’s support, from his earliest times as a child, in an all-women household when his father was living and working overseas.
Junaid decided to repay their support by ‘paying it forward’ to others and began searching for a suitable partner to give back through. Assia said“Junaid had read about our work and reached out. We met and I was impressed that within a week he had come back with a full business plan!”
With this year’s unique timing of Indian Mother’s Day coinciding with Ramadan and an imminent Eid, and with Junaid being an Indian National, today has a symbolic meaning for the launch.
The Business Model
D’NOUR has set up a programme called D’NOURityto manage its sponsorship, which allocates a proportion of all profits. In order to keep overheads low and to maximise the allocation to sponsorship, D’NOUR operate an online-only sales model, however Dubai residents and visitors can come to the company’s brand experience centre in the Gold & Diamond park to make sure they are happy with their selection prior to purchase at www.dnour.com
The Evolve Jewellery
Inspired by the Evolvin’ Women’s stories, the minimalist Evolve range encompasses diamond rings, bracelets, pendants, necklaces and earings. Pieces are available in yellow gold, rose gold or white gold.
Each feature 3 worlds, representing the 3 stages of empowerment. The first world has a rough texture, symbolising the struggle and challenge women have to overcome. The second world is polished, representing the newly empowered woman, and the third features a diamond, representing the purpose of her life and also the empowerment she will pass on to others, the glittering fulfilment of the 3 stages of womanhood and the permanence of this love. Within the central piece is the Evolvin’ Women emblem representing the flowering of an empowered woman.
The Search for Empowering Stories
Ramadan and Eid is a time when we look to recognise and express our gratitude to the people who have helped us, those who are helping us now and to who we can look to help.
No person in this world has made it alone, we are all blessed by the support of others, and in turn we must too support others who need our help. The first woman who empowers our lives is the mother who brought us into the world and gave us our life’s foundations, and so everyone has this in common.
D’NOUR is looking to hear such stories of female empowerment and to help share those that can inspire women who may be struggling now, or in a position to pass on what they know. Readers can share their stories at www.dnour.com by clicking on Share Your Story button.
We ask that everyone shares the search for empowering women stories with their friends, family and colleagues, so we can recognise, celebrate and share the best and inspire many more people to give back too this Mother’s Day, Ramadan, Eid & beyond.
