Shining Start For EU Exhibitors At Inaugural Gifts & Lifestyle Middle East In Dubai
The world’s oldest minting institution, Monnaie De Paris,is among over 50 exhibitors showcasing their products at this week’s inaugural Gifts & Lifestyle Middle East, Messe Frankfurt’s new portfolio addition to cater to the region’s gifts, accents, and lifestyle product markets.
Founded in 864, Monnaie de Paris specialises in the production of commemorative pieces of art in precious metals, including coins and medals, decorations, jewellery, bespoke decorative castings, and corporate VIP gifts targeting the high-end luxury segment.
Speaking at the event, Nathalie Pasquet, Director, Monnaie De Paris, said: “We are French manufacturers who circulate collector coins and medals made from Gold, Silver and other precious metals.
“We have been in business for hundreds of years and have made mementos for the Eiffel Tower, UNESCO, The Central Bank of Saudi Arabia, Sierra and Dior. We’ve had some tremendous response from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have taken part in this year’s exhibition to strengthen our network in the UAE.”
45-year-old crystal gifting company Cristal De Paris, another exhibitor from Europe, has also garnered strong interest from the regional industry and already secured deals on day one of the event.
“We’ve secured a big corporate order from Patchi for displaying their products as well as for gifting purposes for their chocolates,” said Frestler Guy, President, Cristal De Paris. “We’ve received multiple orders from the Middle East in the past years and we have come down to Gifts & Lifestyle Middle East to grow our network of suppliers and brands to work with and we’re very excited to be here.”
Elsewhere, Swiss company The Wind is making a big splash this week with the global launch of its Wind Decor collection of stained glass table decor items and its ‘International and Christmas Collection’, that carry Christmas table accessorises and various countries’ national flags, including that of the UAE.
The Wind creates exclusive stained glassed items using the ‘Tiffany’ technique, comprising accessorises such as napkin rings, glass coasters, trays, bowls and lamps.
“This is our first time in the UAE and we have launched this line post lockdown due to the change we have seen in customer demand,” said MariaGollas, CEO, Wind Glass Décor. “On the first day alone we met multiple potential leads that we look forward to materializing post the show.”
Organised by Messe Frankfurt Middle East, Gifts & Lifestyle Middle East is co-located with Paperworld Middle East, the region’s premier trade fair for stationary, paper, office supplies, and children’s toys and games.
