Region’s Android Developers Attend 3rd Droidcon Conference At in5 In Dubai
in5, an enabling platform for students, start-ups and entrepreneurs, hosted the third edition of droidcon Dubai, a leading Android developer conference in the region. Held at in5 Tech in Dubai Internet City, the two-day event drew the participation of over 300 tech enthusiasts keen to discuss the latest Android trends.
Held in over 27 cities around the world, the droidcon Dubai edition welcomed speakers from leading local and international brands, including Google, Careem, Namshi, Shopify, Skyscanner, and Trivago. Aiming to build lasting collaborations between developers and companies across the region, the talks and workshops at the conference were built around core development, embedded solutions, business solutions, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and mobile security.

Presenting the keynote speech, Dr Aygul Zagidullina, Google Women Techmakers (WTM) lead for London, said: “We currently have over two billion Android users. Given the high uptake, we are looking to adopt an inclusive app development approach for the next billion users, the majority of these are predicted to be located in emerging markets such as India, Indonesia and Brazil.
The UK-based expert, who is also the Google Developers Group (GDG) lead for London, provided insights into the emerging market trends for the local developer community.
