Pfizer Says ‘Thank You’ To Frontline Healthcare Workers In Africa And The Middle East

On World Health Day, Pfizer Inc. (NYSE: PFE, “Pfizer”) has launched a campaign to say ‘Thank you’ for the thousands of essential workers, doctors and nurses who are helping the community and the healthcare sector in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic across the Africa and Middle East (AfME) region.

Part of a global initiative, the company produced a video message in three key languages, that shed light on the risks workers in the healthcare sector face and commends their tireless efforts in ensuring that timely care, supplies and key medicines reach patients.

Pfizer is currently working to advance potential antiviral therapies and is engaged with BioNTech on a potential coronavirus vaccine.
