MEED Awards Recognise Private Organisations Who Are Advancing The National Agendas Of The GCC Countries
MEED, the Middle East’s leading business intelligence company, has today announced the prestigious private sector companies who are leading the way in advancing regional agendas for people, diversification, society and sustainability.
Regional governments are now increasingly focused on bridging the gap between the private and public sector and moving away from oil reliant economies. The MEED Awards aim to recognise companies who are strategic and innovative, that contribute towards achieving visions set out by the government and who are having a real impact. The awards acknowledge efforts in embracing macro trends including disruptive technologies, introducing sustainability initiatives and working practices that boost the development and efficiency of human capital.
In its third edition Dubai Duty Free, ACWA Power and Dulsco were prominent winners at the MEED Awards among many that were celebrated for their impact and contribution towards driving economic diversification across the UAE and the wider GCC region.

With 60 companies shortlisted as finalists in 16 categories across all industries, the complete list of winners includes;
- Architecture Firm of the Year- Tangram Gulf
Tangram Gulf is a multi-disciplinary firm, offering a broad range of initiatives that include urban design, architecture, interiors and landscape architecture across the region. They offer these services through a host of technological advancements in architectural design.
- Bank/Financial Institution of the Year – Bank Nizwa
Bank Nizwa is the first bank in Oman to offer Islamic finance, and offers an entire portfolio of commercial banking services. With digital banking now becoming a reality, Bank Nizwa has made efforts to integrate its offline and online services.
- Business Innovation of the Year Award presented by ACWA Power – CDE
CDE designs and manufactures wet processing plants and builds technology to transform the mining, waste and recycling and environmental sectors.
- Consultant of the Year – Khatib & Alami
