ITU World Triathlon Abu Dhabi 2018
The pinnacle of world triathlon, the ITU World Triathlon Abu Dhabi, will return to the UAE’s capital on 2 and 3 March 2018 bringing together 120 of the world’s best triathletes, including Olympic medalists and World Champions.
2018 marks the fourth year that Abu Dhabi will host the season-opening race before it heads to eight countries across five different continents.
The event will take place at Abu Dhabi’s iconic sporting venue, Yas Island, where 4,000 amateur triathletes will have the unique chance to race on the same course as the world’s best. The Abu Dhabi event features Sprint, Olympic and the brand new Middle distance for amateur adults, in addition to the newly-introduced dedicated waves for para-triathletes. First timers and seasoned para-triathletes will have the chance to rub shoulders and compete alongside inspirational heroes of Paralympic triathlon including; World and European Champion and Rio 2016 Paralympic Gold medalist, Andy Lewis and Mohamed Lahna, the Bronze medalist at the Rio 2016 Paralympics.
