His Highness Sheikh Nahayan Mubarak Al Nahayan, Honorable Cabinet Member And Minister Of Tolerance Inaugurates First Ever Global Annual Legal Conference In Abu Dhabi

The first ever global legal conference to take place in the Middle East commenced today (3rd April), hosted by Goodwins Law Corporation, a premier law firm in the UAE, in partnership with First Law International, an elite global network of 85 law firms in 80 countries.

The annual two‐day conference (3rd and 4th April) was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Nahayan Mubarak Al Nahayan, Honorable Cabinet Member and Minister of Tolerance, who attended the 17th Anniversary of the First Law International 2018 conference as Guest of Honour, at Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) Authorities premises.

The conference welcomed over 100 legal experts, clients, VIPs and business leaders from over 80 countries, which provided a forum for discussions, client meetings, business development initiatives and connecting with network partners. Some of the high profile speakers included His Excellency Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Honourable Chairman of ADGM, Dr See Kiat Toh, Global Chairman of Goodwins Law Corporation and Mr Orlando Casares, FLI Principal.

During the two‐day conference, delegates are being invited to attend a range of keynote speeches and sessions from prominent speakers, which include breakout sessions on Media & Entertainment, Life Sciences, IT & Communications Technology and Corporate Governance / Compliance. In addition, the Anti‐Corruption Compliance Panel session, includes speakers from DHL Express, Stryker Services and Bray International who will speak about the practical aspects of anti‐corruption policy and compliance followed by an interactive Q&A session with the audience.
