His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Attends The Launch Of TIER Mobility’s Latest E-Scooter In The UAE
TIER, Europe’s leading shared micro-mobility provider, announces the launch of its next-generation e-scooter, the TIER V scooter, rolling out in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The launch of the new e-scooters comes in line with the UAE’s vision to reach carbon neutrality by 2050 and it is making an entrance at the Hypermotion event, taking place at the Dubai Exhibition Center located at the EXPO 2020. From the 2nd to the 4th of November visitors will be able to experience the new scooter along with TIER’s e-bike, e-moped and learn more about TIER’s Energy Network system. The new scooter model is designed for frequent urban use and has a service life of 5 years, while effectively having an unlimited lifespan due to entirely modular, replaceable, and repairable components. Advanced safety features include three independent brakes, grippy handlebars, wide, large tires, and a particularly bright light. Turn indicators offer 360° visibility and ensure riders are able to show their intended maneuvers safely. Over the next few days, TIER riders can expect to see the new e-scooters across all hot spots in Dubai.
Residents of the UAE will have the opportunity to visit the TIER Mobility Park, and test out the latest e-scooter on a specially designed mobility track at the Hypermotion event. Hypermotion at Expo 2020 Dubai will explore innovative concepts transforming logistics, freight, and mobility in the Middle East and Africa. This event will be hosted for the first time outside of Europe, in Dubai, the world’s most innovative and future-focused city.

We are excited for TIER to launch their latest, state-of-the-art line-up of e-scooters in the UAE where users will have the opportunity to test them at the Hypermotion event.”
Europe’s leading shared micro-mobility provider continues to iterate models and improve features based on feedback from cities and users to further enhance the overall experience, whilst reducing emissions. In Dubai since TIER launched under the RTA’s umbrella their scooters have traveled a total distance of more than 1.3 million kilometers and in just one years and have helped save more than 18,500 kg of CO2, providing a step towards a sustainable lifestyle and benefiting the environment.

The latest features that Berlin-based TIER has added to its e-scooter, ensure its position as an innovation leader and the most sustainable and safest operator in the industry: indicator lights on the steering bar and back fender that clearly signal the rider’s direction to other road users. This adds to safety features previously developed by TIER, including the largest front wheel in the industry, a wider foot pad, dual suspension, a double kick-stand and dual drum brakes for stable riding on uneven surfaces and conditions.
