GITEX 2017: Smart Dubai Launches ’Smart Decision-Making Platform’, Takes Visitors On Journey Into The Future

Smart Dubai launched the Smart Decision-Making Platform from its stand at GITEX Technology Week 2017, taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre on October 8-12.

The new platform relies on Dubai Pulse, the Smart Dubai data aggregator forming the backbone of the city’s transition into advanced smart technologies. Visitors can visualise the data through an “immersive room” that offers them a glimpse into the future of Dubai.

Titled “Future, Live”, the room allows visitors to visualise live, citywide data, making Dubai the first city in the world to share its real-time live data with the public, along with projections of the progress that is in the pipeline for the coming decade. A team of data scientists, designers and programmers, as well as various government entities, joined hands to build the innovative and custom-built digital infrastructure to allow for the display.
