Fifth Edition Of EcoWASTE Exhibition To Open January 15
With a future-centric agenda committed to advancing sustainable waste management and recycling across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Abu Dhabi is gearing up to host the fifth edition of EcoWASTE Exhibition. Taking place January 15th-18th, 2018 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, the event is hosted by Masdar, as part of the annual Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, and in strategic partnership with Tadweer, The Centre of Waste Management – Abu Dhabi.
The EcoWASTE Exhibition will also feature the Waste Management Solutions Forum, which will take place on January 17th, 2018. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al-Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, UAE will deliver the opening address, highlighting the role of waste management in creating sustainable environments. In addition, Saeed Al Mehairbi, Acting General Manager of Tadweer will deliver the keynote address on Abu Dhabi’s waste management strategy.
Ahead of the event, Tadweer today revealed plans to sign a number of high-profile projects for Abu Dhabi during the EcoWASTE Exhibition. The upcoming projects are a contract for Controlling the Emission of methane Gas from Al Dhafra Landfill, and three investment projects, one for Used Cooking Oil Recycling Facility, another for the Management and Treatment of Medical and Hazardous Waste in Al Ain Region, and one for the Management and Treatment of Medical and Hazardous Waste in Abu Dhabi and Al Dhafra Region.
