Etihad ESCO To Highlight Nuances Of Lighting Design At 8th Middle East Lighting Design Summit
Etihad ESCO participated today in the 8th Middle East Lighting Design Summit, scheduled to be held from April 29 – 30, 2019, at Dubai’s Roda Al Bustan. The Super ESCO will utilize the platform to shed light on the finer aspects of lighting design from a developer’s perspective, as the forum is set to dive deeper into lighting design concepts and discuss the latest developments in the region’s industry.
On second day of the event, Etihad ESCO will participate in a panel discussion titled ‘Lighting Design from a Developer’s Perspective.’ The discussion will highlight viewpoints of designers, architects and developers on achieving the same goal, and the design strategies that need to be considered to achieve this. Key metrics in the implementation of a successful lighting design project while striking the right balance between all stakeholders will be discussed as well. Furthermore, the importance of the design element and the role of lighting retrofits in existing facilities, and the estimated savings that can be achieved through these projects will all form part of discussions at the 8th Middle East Lighting Design Summit.
Ali Al Jassim, CEO, Etihad ESCO, said: “Given the crucial role played by lighting in energy efficiency, the growing importance of efficient public lighting, which has the potential to save up to 20 per cent more energy, cannot be overlooked. We look forward to awareness creation on the importance of efficient lighting and designs amongst industry stakeholders. We are optimistic that these efforts will contribute to reducing the energy demand, to fast-track the realization of Dubai’s vision to achieve 30 per cent energy demand reduction by 2030.”
With the participation of over 350 delegates including senior lighting designers, sustainability experts, urban planners and architects, the 2019 edition of the Summit will be an excellent opportunity to learn, network and discuss various trends, opportunities and challenges in innovative lighting design techniques with international and regional experts. In-depth discussions around the evolving role of a lighting designer, advanced lighting controls, and the future of lighting in smart cities will add further value to the insights shared during the event.
