Dubai Land Department Showcases Its Smart Applications During DIGAE 2018 Through Its Different Arms
Dubai Land Department (DLD) has announced that its different arms are participating at the Dubai International Government Achievement Exhibition (DIGAE) 2018, which is taking place under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, from 9th to 11th April at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
His Excellency Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director General of DLD, commented: “DLD’s participation reflects our objective to reach out to various groups through our presence at the most prominent local and international forums, the most recent of which was winning the bid to host the FIABCI World Congress from 27th April to 2nd May this year. These events help us to highlight our leading role in the real estate industry and are aligned with our leadership’s vision of achieving excellence in all our customer services by developing innovative achievements.”
DLD focused its efforts on a range of smart applications developed to serve the real estate sector in the emirate, notably the ‘Dubai Brokers’ application, which targets a large segment of beneficiaries including real estate companies, investors and real estate brokers. The application provides accurate and up-to-date information on licensed brokers and real estate companies approved by DLD.
DLD also showcased its ‘Mashrooi’ application, a key innovative solution that enhances collaboration and transparency through the use of advanced technologies, automation, integration and analysis of Dubai’s real estate market. The application represents a mobile smart platform for government, real estate developers, investors and other real estate service providers to share information on the completion of real estate projects in Dubai.
The Rental Disputes Center (RDC), the judicial arm of DLD, participated in DIGAE as an integrated electronic judicial system that deals with the management and monitoring of rental disputes, from online registration, auditing and payment to archiving, allowing interested parties to refer to all required documents. RDC is designed to automate all procedures, including the scheduling and holding of hearings, the drafting of judgments, the electronic signature of various approvals, and the tracking of dispute requests at all stages, ranging from conciliation proceedings through to preliminary proceedings, appeals, objections and even execution.
Visitors to DLD’s pavilion can also learn more about the ‘Ejari’ application, which is an integrated online solution that was designed to organise, manage and facilitate property leasing in Dubai. The application platform meets the requirements of tenants, owners, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, city planners, regulatory authorities, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Dubai Municipality and RDC.
