du, from Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), has concluded its successful participation at GISEC Global 2023, which was held in Dubai under the theme ‘Connecting Minds, Boosting Cyber Resilience’, the event brought together diverse security stakeholders with a mission to protect the integrity of global digital infrastructures.
As a strategic partner, du had a major presence at the event, with a cutting-edge display of technologies centred around cybersecurity and ethical hacking and bespoke cybersecurity solutions for government entities and large organisations. The event featured a keynotes and exclusive workshops for students on cybersecurity and ethical hacking to create awareness about cyberattacks and ethical hacking.

du is a founding partner of the National Bug Bounty Program, which aims to enhance the UAE’s cybersecurity systems, reinforce the country’s leading stature in global competitiveness indexes, as well as engage community members and public and private sector entities in the protection of infrastructure. du brings together a community of hackers, bug bounty hunters, InfoSec professionals and government end-users and provides digital tools and capabilities to detect and recommend solutions for cyber threats within cyberspace.
To support the bug bounty programme and facilitate ethical hacking, du sponsored a unique hacking game that requires players to hack a CTF badge. For this activation, the telco created a special gaming arena where visitors received training on ethical hacking before playing the game in the soldering zone. It educated participants on the importance of cybersecurity in an engaging and interactive manner. The gamification of ethical hacking provided a platform to support the prevention of cyberattacks and strengthen digital trust in communities.
