BICSI 3rd Annual ACE Summit During GITEX Technology Week To Focus On The Future Of Intelligent Buildings
BICSI, the global association advancing the information and communications technology (ICT)/extra low-voltage (ELV) community, will host its 3rd annual ACE Summit in Dubai on 8 October 2019 at the Fairmont Dubai, concurrent with its participation in the 39th GITEX Technology Week.
“GITEX Technology Week attracts the regional and global technology pioneers driving the digital transformation. The ACE Summit held during GITEX offers an opportunity for the delegates including architects, consultants, and engineers (ACE) to network and share expertise in designing progressive Smart Cities, data centres and other ICT- intensive projects implementing next generation technologies in infrastructure,” said BICSI President-Elect Todd Taylor, RCDD, NTS, OSP.
BICSI’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Region has received continuous positive feedback about its expansion and activities in the UAE and the Region, and the ACE Summit is one such initiative to provide a platform for exchange of ideas and best practices for the ICT community members.
Amr Babili, Business Development Manager – MEA, Mobotix AG, said: “We think partnering up with organizations like BICSI fits perfectly in our go to market strategy where we need to educate our customers about the importance of the AI (Artificial Intelligence) coupled with Cyber Security. ACE Summit is a wonderful opportunity for us to do so and to deliver our message.
“We do not see ourselves as a classic camera manufacturer. Instead we distinctly characterize Mobotix as a pioneering global company that is developing solutions locally with German expertise that offer flexibility, built-in intelligence, and unparalleled data security valued across multiple industries.”
The Summit will feature presentations and a panel discussion from experts on a range of topics including
“Security though Intelligent Sensors,” “Data Center Management in the Age of Accelerating Change,” “Bridging the Gap between Technology and Facilities Management,” and “Missed AEC Opportunities for Life Cycle Savings, in Terms of Digitalization and the Application of Proven Technology, Coupled with Common Sense.”
The sessions will be preceded by a masterclass on “Converged Networks – the Future of Intelligent Buildings as defined by BICSI 007.”
BICSI EMEA’s 2019 ACE Summit is supported by Mobotix AG, AT&T Cabling Systems, Avigilon, Excel, Intersec and Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management.
