Astounding Success At Open Day For Emirati Talent Hosted By Al-Futtaim Group And Supported By Emirati Human Resources Development Council In Dubai
In line with the UAE’s private-sector Emiratisation strategy and the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Programme “Nafis”, Al-Futtaim Group’s SINYAR programme dedicated to attract and develop Emirati talent, and Al-Futtaim Group’s leading role as an incubator and developer of Emirati talents, enabling them to assume high management and leading positions in the private sector; Al-Futtaim hosted an Open Day for Emirati jobseekers which was attended by over 2,400 passionate and ambitious UAE Nationals, looking to build a promising career that would benefit the UAE as a whole.
Welcoming an unexpectedly large turnout, the event saw success that was bolstered by collaborative and well-organized attendees, who reflected the cultural identity of the UAE Nationals.
With the support and attendance of representatives of the Emirati Human Resources Development Council in Dubai and Dubai College of Tourism,Al-Futtaim executives conducted over 1,350 instant interviews for 200 job vacancies for 2021. This step will help achieve the Group’s Emiratisation target of 10% within two years. Interviews included registering the talents’ data and experience, enabling the Group to appoint the right person at the right place.
Emiratis participating in the Open Day were able to explore the diverse range of job opportunities in Al-Futtaim Group across various sectors, including Automotive, Real Estate, shopping malls, Health Care, Retail, Education, Financial Services & Insurance, and Information Technology.
Furthermore, the event provided participants with a unique opportunity for networking and directly engaging with the recruiters and hiring managers. In turn, the executives offered discussion panels and workshops to bolster the jobseekers’ knowledge of private-sector workplace culture, resulting in the astounding success of the entire event.
