AkzoNobel Launches Innovative Coil Canopy App To Achieve That Perfect Coating

AkzoNobel has launched an innovative visualising application (App) that will enable industrial painters to confidently match their clients’ colour choices and help achieve that perfect coating.

The all-new ‘Coil Canopy App’ is an iOS app that helps users find that perfect coating for pre-painted metal application. It enables professionals to ensure the highest standards of service for their customers by providing access to information and tools that are ideally suited for the region.

Apart from visualising metallic, pearlscent, textured finishes, the app also has unique feature of visualizing the colour upon ageing including how the colour will look like with the passage of time. For the harsh weather conditions in the region, this serves as an ideal tool that will help select the preferred coating system by searching the database of AkzoNobel’s product range.

The various features of the App include the Colour Tab that focuses on exploring and visualising colours, improving the selection experience and bringing new functionalities. The Visualise function shows how the selected product performs on real surfaces. There are also filters to find the right products, and customers can also match colours from photographs, the Colour Wheel or with RGB and lab values to ensure improved product matching and colour accuracy.
