OSN’s Exclusive Shows Win Big At 70th Primetime Emmy Awards
OSN, the region’s leading entertainment network, celebrated with the best of Hollywood as shows exclusive to its network scooped Emmy’s across the board at the 70th Primetime Awards ceremony, in Los Angeles, last night.
With the biggest shows winning a host of golden statuettes, OSN, once again, proves to be the home of nowhere else entertainment bringing exhilarating, enthralling and exciting drama, comedy, action and reality-competition shows.
This was another incredible year for global series hit Game of Thrones, bagging a total of nine awards in the creative arts and telecast awards, including the highly-coveted Outstanding Drama Series award. All seven seasons of the show are currently available to watch on OSN Play and OSN On Demand.
It was also a big night for Saturday Night Live, which airs across the region on OSN’s OSN Series Comedy HD. The long-running comedy show was nominated for 21 awards this year, winning eight including Outstanding Variety Sketch Series. ‘SNL’ has taken home 65 Emmy Awards over its nearly 44-year history — the most Emmys won by any series in TV history.
The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story took home the award for Outstanding Limited Series, and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series went to Darren Criss for his depiction of Andrew Cunanan in the mini-series.
