Empower Adds Cityland Mall To Its Frontline Projects To Provide District Cooling Services With AED 150 Million Investment
Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the world’s largest district cooling services provider, signed an agreement with Cityland Real Estate Development, an investment holding arm of Cityland Group to provide district cooling services to Cityland Mall, at Global Village in Dubai, with a total capacity of 14,000 Refrigeration Tonnes (RT). The agreement reflects growing adoption of district cooling technology by real estate industry that now invests largely in sustainable technologies such as district cooling which drives higher returns on investments to the businesses.
The project, which will be having a total investment of AED 150 Million by Empower, will be started commissioning from August 2018. The agreement was signed by H. H. Sheikh Theyab Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of Cityland Group, and Ahmad bin Shafar, CEO of Empower, at the Cityland Mall Site Office
