Copthorne Hotel Dubai To Impress New Markets At Arabian Travel Market
Copthorne Hotel Dubai, the popular hotel in Deira, is partnering with travel agencies and tour operators that are promoting Dubai to new source markets such as Africa and South East Asia as the property sees increasing traffic of travellers coming from these countries.
Meetings travel companies servicing those source markets and others will be the majority of the team’s focus in their participation at Arabian Travel Market, the region’s leading travel and trade fair, running from April 22 to 25 at the Dubai World Trade Center. In addition, further negotiations are expected revolving around the Hotel’s drive, as part of Millennium and Copthorne’s regional campaign, to move away from static rate plans to dynamic pricing models.
Since opening in 2008, the Copthorne Hotel Dubai has been welcoming guests from Northern Africa, as well as Nigeria, Kenya and more recently this has expanded into other African countries for both leisure and MICE business. The success of marketing campaigns by DTCM has improved the awareness of the destination, and South East Asian countries such as South Korea and Vietnam, are becoming more excited to visit the UAE as a new holiday experience.
Glenn Nobbs, General Manager, said: “Since the beginning of 2017, we have noticed an increasing number of guests from Africa and South East Asia so it’s a clear indication that there is a demand from those regions to visit Dubai and the UAE. In fact this year to date, we have witnessed a 350% increase from last year in room nights coming out of Vietnam alone, so we’d like to see this trend continue. At ATM we are pleased that we have a number of appointments already confirmed to be able to work on contracts for the rest of this year and into next. With our comfortable facilities, convenient location, easy access to public transportation and friendly staff I am sure we will be signing them off during this week.”
