Kaleidoscope By Mimi Creates Ramadan Looks That Make A Difference In Regional, Global Communities
Homegrown fashion brand Kaleidoscope by Mimi is launching a collection for Ramadan 2018 based on the authenticity of human connections and the ‘common threads’ that tie different communities together.
Created in the UAE using elements ethically sourced through the travels of its founder and head designer, Mimi Shakhashir, Kaleidoscope by Mimi’s new pieces for Ramadan 2018 include kaftans, kimonos, pouches, and fashion and home accessories that are hand-crafted with detailing from communities in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.
Kaleidoscope by Mimi’s Ramadan 2018 collection is being launched at an in-store event at Le BHV/Marais in Citywalk on Wednesday, 25 April – guests can personalize new pieces including kaftans and kimonos with moons, stars, and other glittering designs and take an intimate look into Mimi’s creative process through her bountiful traveling trunks filled with new designs and her travel scrapbook which details how the looks are created in various international communities.
‘Ramadan has a special resonance for Kaleidoscope by Mimi as our brand is based on the values of community and strong ethics, ensuring the artisans and their communities with whom we work are recognized and rewarded through our collaboration,” said Mimi Shakhashir, founder and head designer of Kaleidoscope by Mimi.
