UNWTO Affiliate Members Gather In Ras Al Khaimah
Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority hosted its first Working Meeting for Annual Plan of UN World Tourism Organisation Affiliate Members on 14th March.
The first UNWTO meeting to be held in Ras al Khaimah was attended by Haitham Mattar, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority and Vice Chair of the UNWTO Affiliate Members, in addition to Mr. Miguel Mirones, Chairman of the UNWTO Affiliate Board Members.
The meeting brought together members of the UNWTO Affiliate Members programme from as far as the USA, Latin America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
The objective of the meeting was to prepare a draft of the UNWTO Affiliate Members Annual Plan to address the global challenges of the tourism sector and UNWTO, and ways in which the organisation’s affiliate members can contribute to the UNWTO through a series of initiatives from each member.
Haitham Mattar, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority commented:

This gathering of the UNWTO affiliate members in Ras al Khaimah paves the way for significant milestones and action plans in 2018 and beyond.”
