89th Saudi Arabia National Day Show
On the occasion of the 89th Saudi National Day, Balich Worldwide Shows has created and produced “Inspiration Road”, an outstanding tailor-made show offered to all the Kingdom, inspired by the raw beauty of its landscapes and the determination of its people.
As the Kingdom experiences a phenomenal transformation, Vision 2030 seems closer than ever, standing at the threshold of one road, the Inspiration Road, the path that Saudis have chosen to take seeking world-class entertainment offering.
The show has been offered by the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) amid a season of record-breaking events for the annual celebration. GEA has enhanced the nation’s social fabric by providing exciting entertainment options for the society and is determined to position the Kingdom as a significant global entertainment destination.
The show has recounted the story of the people of Saudi Arabia in all its diversity, colors, seasons and milestones since 1932. They are Saudi’s beating heart, the embodiment of its near future, walking on the road towards their future in a common step, with determination, inspired by their past and by the vision of their future. Conscious that the Saudi population is young, and more than 60 % of it is under the age of 30.
Saudi Arabia National Day has showcased in a groundbreaking sequence of 7 acts. More than 230 performers have been involved, with a team of 115 members from 34 countries, including 38 Saudi talents.
The show started with a poetic representation of the Road: the story of a path suspended above the clouds, rooted in history, where dreams are drawn in the sand and built on the land. It is the story of Saudi Arabia. Feet firmly on the ground, heads in the clouds.
To follow, a traditional Samri dance revisited with a modern twist has engaged the audience with an upbeat performance stirring excitement, while Saudi’s unexpected beauty was depicted through the mesmerizing sound of an opera aria sung by Italian Mezzo-Soprano Mariangela De Vita, leaving audiences open-mouthed at the view of its staggering landscapes, like snow in the desert, unexpectedly.
Therefore, with a heart-rending tribute, the youth has expressed gratitude to their seniors in a thank-you video showing the mosaic of faces of Saudi Arabia;
Finally, an energetic act has led all the way to the future, to the top of the mountain, where the flag of Saudi Arabia has flown as high as the ambition of its people.
The show has taken place on September 21st, 22nd and 23rd at the Green Halls in Riyadh.
