Saudi Projects Win National Honours At Prestigious Awards Programme
Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; 19 March 2019 – Nine outstanding projects have been selected as the national winners for Saudi Arabia by the MEED Projects Awards, in association with Mashreq.
The Al-Wajeed Water Master Plan Project by Khatib & Alami (K&A) was the big winner among all Saudi-based projects, winning the Engineering Project of the Year and Water Project of the Year categories in addition to receiving the Innovation Medal.
Another major winner, the Al Rajhi Bank Tower Project by Arcadis, topped the Commercial Property Project of the Year category while also being recognised with a Sustainability Medal.
Other Saudi Arabia national winners that were recognised include the Diyar Al Salam Project by IHCC (Residential Project of the Year); The World Academy by Emaar, The Economic City (Social, Cultural & Heritage Project of the Year); Kapsarc Project by Depa Interiors (Small Project of the Year); Millennium Madinah Airport Hotel Project by Madinah Airport Hotel Company (Tourism & Leisure Project of the Year); Taiba University’s Girls College-Ula Branch Project by Al Marshad Contracting Co (Education Project of the Year), Southern Area Power Reliability Enhancements – Uthmaniyah & Hawiyah (Saudi Aramco) Project by Larsen and Toubro Saudi Arabia (Power Generation Project of the Year) and Women’s Hospital, Obstetrics and Babies in Hail Project by Almazroa Consulting Engineering (Healthcare Project of the Year).

A total of 77 national winners across the GCC have been recognised in their respective countries as part of the first round of judging for the coveted awards. Competing in categories that capture the ongoing diversification of our region, winners at the national level will now enter the second stage of judging to determine the regional winners that will be announced on 24th April at the Conrad Dubai in UAE.
