51,062 Jobs Were Announced On Bayt.com During The First Quarter Of 2018
Between January and March of 2018, over 51,000 new job opportunities were announced on Bayt.com – the Middle East’s largest job site – indicating a positive state for the region’s job market. In fact, a 58% increase in job announcements on Bayt.com has been recorded in comparison to the first quarter of 2017.
The surge in job postings online reflects an overall increase in the region’s hiring activities. In February 2018, the Middle East’s Job Index Survey revealed that 9 in 10 companies are planning to hire this year. The job Index score for 2018 was also 12 points higher than what it was in 2017, showing growth for hiring and job availability in the region.
“There are many career opportunities in the Middle East region, and we are glad to be able to bring more and more of these opportunities online on Bayt.com so that they can be easily accessed,” said Suhail Masri, VP of Employer Solutions, Bayt.com. “We have started 2018 with an intensified effort to ensure that our millions of job seekers are presented with diverse and new career options, and that the hundreds of thousands of companies and organizations who partner with us for their hiring needs have access to unlimited choice of candidates.”
Launched back in 2000, Bayt.com now leads the region’s online hiring activities with a database of nearly 32 million job seekers and a daily job bank of more than 10,000 opportunities. One in two people who are part of the online labor force are now signed up on Bayt.com. The job site also records millions of CV searches by companies who search for CVs and contact candidates for hiring directly.
In an effort to increase career opportunities online even further, Bayt.com just announced the launch of Job slots: an annual job posting tool that allows companies, organizations, and governments to post a job and replace it as many times as they need. This solution is designed to increase job posting activities and to make more opportunities available to the region’s job seekers.
On the launch of job slots, Masri adds: “Rolling out job slots was a very mission-driven decision for us. We are telling companies that they can now post a job and then replace it with other job announcements as often as they need for the full year. Basically, instead of making one or two job postings, employers can own a job slot and post 5, 10, 20, or as many jobs as they have vacant. This has already increased online job availability and we are looking forward to how it unfolds in the upcoming months of 2018.”
