MENA Tour Stars Relishing Omega Dubai Desert Classic Test

Rayhan Thomas insists he has the attributes and temperament to compete at the top level as he joins a strong MENA Tour contingent, hoping to make the most of a “massive opportunity” at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic at Emirates Golf Club later this month.

“I can’t wait to get started. It will be fun playing alongside such a fantastic field. I am feeling confident about my game, just working on my wedges and putter as short game will be crucial to going to low,” said the 18-year-old Dubai-based pro

“The (Majlis) is like my home course. Having played there numerous times, I know it like the back of my hand. I see no reason why I shouldn’t do well there. It was nice making the cut last year, but just didn’t play that well on the front nines,” said Thomas, who gave himself a massive boost of confidence ahead of the Classic week by winning the prestigious Emirates Open on Friday.
